A board-certified podiatrist since 2002, Dr. Michelle Heiring currently serves as President of Podiatry In Motion, Inc., a solo private medical practice that specializes in making house calls throughout the Chicago, Illinois, area. In addition to providing general podiatry services, Dr. Heiring treats wounds, geriatric issues, and cases involving diabetic medical conditions.

After studying chemistry, studio art, and biological research at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, Dr. Michelle Heiring graduated from the institution with a Bachelor of Science in May of 1992 and went on to complete medical school. Dr. Heiring undertook the first year of her residency in podiatric medicine at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, before relocating to Chicago to complete her practical training. Continuing to live and work in the Chicago area, Dr. Heiring founded Podiatry In Motion in 1999. Today, she maintains memberships in the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association, Inc.; holds diplomate status with the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (ABPOPPM); and serves as a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine (ACFAOM).

An accomplished athlete as well as a dedicated physician, Dr. Michelle Heiring lettered in both cross country and track and field during her time at Loras College. She was named the College’s Intramural Athlete of the Year in 1992 and has also been inducted into the Loras Players Hall of Fame for her work with the College’s theater performances. When not busy with her private practice, Dr. Heiring continues to run marathons to this day.
