Partner at Ramsey & Ehrlich

Miles Ehrlich gained his first real exposure to the world of legal practice when he served as a Judicial Clerk for U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge William A. Norris. This initial clerking experience helped guide Ehrlich down a successful legal career path that eventually led him to become a founding partner in the law firm of Ramsey & Ehrlich.

Ehrlich worked with Judge Norris from 1992 to 1993, and like Ehrlich, Judge Norris studied law at Stanford Law School.

After finishing with Judge Norris, Ehrlich moved on to a second Judicial Clerkship. This time, Miles Ehrlich served as a law clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, who was appointed by Ronald Reagan in 1988. Over the years, Justice Kennedy has held the key swing vote position in many of the Court’s landmark decisions, and in many of most controversial social issues facing the country. Observing the Supreme Court first hand proved invaluable to Ehrlich, as he honed his legal skills with some of the most talented lawyers in the country.

The knowledge and experience Miles Ehrlich gained during these clerkships allowed him to thrive as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice, a job he took immediately after his clerkship ended. Ehrlich transitioned smoothly into his new job in the Public Integrity Section of the Department’s Criminal Division and met with impressive success as a young lawyer.

Miles Ehrlich left the Public Integrity Section in 2000, moving to the United States Attorney’s Office in San Francisco to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. After three years as a line AUSA, Ehrlich was promoted to become the Chief of the White Collar Crime Section of the United States Attorney’s Office. Several years later, Ehrlich joined the private law sector to become a founding partner in law firm of Ramsey & Ehrlich.
