Manassas, Virginia

An honor student at the Manassas, Virginia branch of the Heritage Institute, Monica Talbett is highly committed to her studies. Working to become an x-ray medical technician, Monica Talbett has held numerous jobs to support herself while she attends school. Currently working in a Clifton, Virginia restaurant, Monica Talbett works tremendously hard to balance her work with the responsibilities of school. Prior to beginning classes at the Heritage Institute, Monica Talbett attended high school in Burke, Virginia at Lake Braddock Secondary School.

When not juggling school and work, Monica Talbett enjoys spending time caring for horses, something she has done from a very early age. A once highly involved member of the local 4-H club, Monica Talbett held numerous leadership roles in the organization between grade school and high school, including being Vice President of the Fairfax County Horse Forum when she was in 12th grade. Additionally, Monica Talbett is a former competitive horse rider, having received over 100 ribbons at various schooling shows and 4-H events.

Outside of her impressive skills as a former rider, Monica Talbett is also involved in training horses. Currently working to train a Pinto Pony for pleasure riding and hunter riding competitions, Monica Talbett is confident she can translate her years of experience into success. Though no longer a competitive rider, Monica Talbett still enjoys riding horses for leisure. Nonchalant, the horse Monica has had and cared for since she was only 14 years old, is her favorite horse to ride.
