Homeland Security Analyst at SRA International, Inc.

Security expert and author Morgan Muchnick is employed as an Analyst for SRA International, Inc. Here, he supports the mission of the Department of Homeland Security’s State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Government Coordinating Council in collaborating with the government and owners of key resources to protect America’s vital infrastructure. Muchnick is also responsible for analyzing policy issues and preparing memoranda and whitepapers.

Before joining SRA International, Morgan Muchnick held the position of Consultant with Turner Government and Public Affairs, working as an advocate for clients on matters relating to defense aeronautics, defense appropriations, and oil and gas trading. He represented the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. (AIAA), in a similar capacity on budget and homeland security affairs.

Between 2005 and 2006, Morgan Muchnick worked for Unisys on various projects for the Transportation Security Administration and the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council. Prior to this position, he worked as a Speechwriter for Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayalon and as a Professional Staff Member for Senator Fred Thompson.

Morgan Muchnick regularly contributes essays on international and domestic politics to UpsidePolitics.com and Algemeiner.com. Recent articles include “The Not So Silent Majority,” “The Devil We Know vs. the Devil We Don’t Know,” and “WikiLeaks’ Cascading Effects.” Muchnick has also appeared on the MSNBC television program America’s Voices.

Morgan Muchnick attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a B.A. in 1996. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy and National Security from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
