About Moris Beracha

A native of Venezuela, Moris Beracha showed an interest for finance from an early age. Moris Beracha graduated from the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas in 1983 with a degree in business administration, and since that time he has excelled in numerous financial and business ventures.

At the present time, Moris Beracha has focused his efforts on two firms: Fractal Fund Management Group and Celistics Holdings. In total, Moris Beracha represents market value of more than $1.9 billion through these firms. Celistics Holdings provides cellular phone equipment in Latin America and Fractal Fund creates investment portfolios based largely on U.S. government bonds. In 2009, Opal Financial Group recognized Moris Beracha’s Fractal Fund as one of the top emerging funds.

Moris Beracha earned finance experience in several countries. Although he has returned to Venezuela, he worked for almost 15 years on Wall Street, serving with Westfalia Investments, a broker dealer. Moris Beracha has also contributed to Brown Montgomery Securities in London, United Kingdom.

At all of his current firms, Moris Beracha’s primary responsibilities include strategic planning. For Celistics Holdings, he develops strategies customized to the needs of each of the 15 countries served by the firm. Movilway, a branch of Celistics Holdings, also provides banking via telephone service to clients in several nations.

Prior to his current ventures, Moris Beracha held prominent positions with Banco Caracas C.A., Acco Manufacturing C.A., Hispanic News Press, Protinal Proagro, Bestinvest Casa de Bolsa, and several other companies. Outside of work, he donates anonymously to many charitable organizations, and he also supports the Youth Orchestra of the Americas and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University.

  • The Sofia Imber Museum of Contemporary Art

    The Sofia Imber Museum of Contemporary Art (MACCSI) contains some of the finest art in Caracas, and it serves as the home of world renowned masterpieces by Borges, Soto, Leger, and Picasso, as well as many others. When the museum first opened in 1973 it was small facility in the Central Park Residential Complex. Over the next 12 years, it incrementally grew to more than 6,000 square feet, then to over 8,000 square feet, and to its current size of 16,000 square feet. The museum was designed with large windows that tie the creative work indoors to the large sculpture gardens outside.

    There are over 3,000 artistic works permanently housed at MACCSI, which promotes exhibitions of Venezuelan and international artists. The museum also contains the largest art library available to the public in Venezuela, housing 18,000 books and catalogues. Educational programs are available, in addition to guided tours, lectures, films, and creative workshops. The MACCSI also has a bus that takes exhibitions of artistic works, books, and videos to schools and neighborhoods in and around the capital city of Caracas.
