Mr. Mushtaq Thobani has carved out his professional niche with over 25 years of experience as a practicing Chartered Accountant for his company, MMT & Associates. Mr. Thobani was the recipient of a Chartered Accountant Achievement Award for his years of service as a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Thobani continues to cultivate his high working standards and professionalism through his membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA). The ICAA is an organization providing guidance to a network of 11,000 other talented CAs and CA students working to support national standards and programs. In addition to being a detail-oriented professional, Mushtaq Thobani is also a principled individual who cares for others. Mushtaq Thobani does his part by acting as the Convenor for the Calgary World Partnership Golf Tournament, a yearly event put on by the Aga Khan Foundation. The tournament raises money and educates people about international development initiatives aimed to help poor communities in Africa and Asia. Over 800 golfers and 200 corporate sponsors participate in the tournament in seven different Canadian cities. The Fish Creek Sports Soccer Association, a soccer team for youths, also benefits from Mushtaq Thobani’s time and generosity. Currently living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mushtaq Thobani enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, and he is particularly fond of hiking, fishing, and skiing. When he cannot be outside, Mushtaq Thobani takes pleasure in reading, and one of his favorite pieces of literature is John Steinbeck’s timeless novella “Of Mice and Men.”
