Myrna Lim is a Television Producer, Real Estate Manager, Small Business Owner, and former Planning and Small Business Commissioner in the City and County of San Francisco.

Myrna Lim earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business and Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. Her passion for learning and her desire to make a difference fuels her pursuit of a law degree at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento.

Her father’s sacrifice and strong work ethic inspired her to work hard. She attained a successful career in corporate real estate, working in major international banks. During the early years of her career, Myrna Lim worked as a Facilities Manager at Sumitomo Bank, Ltd., in San Francisco, California. In this role, Myrna Lim was responsible for the management of all branch locations, office buildings, parking garages and industrial warehouses of the bank and handled leasing and acquisitions of these properties. She later joined the Bank of California (now Union Bank of California) in San Francisco as Assistant Vice President. In addition to the management of properties, Myrna Lim also aided in the management and completion of major construction projects. Under her direction, the projects were completed under budget and on time.

After she hit the glass ceiling as an Assistant Vice President, she started her own business. She formed, The Realty Group in 1994, where she currently serves as President and CEO. The Realty Group specializes in all types of real estate, ranging from corporate to residential, and provides services related to sales, leasing, and property development and management. Her clients included the City College of San Francisco from 1998 to 2008, San Francisco Unified School District and Oakland Unified School District.

Myrna believes in giving back to her community. She served as a Vista volunteer for Asian, Inc. developing affordable multi-family housing in San Francisco. She also served in various charity organizations helping children and women who are victims of domestic violence.

Believing in change, she ran for Board of Supervisors for the City and County of San Francisco. Her contribution to the community earned her political appointment from former Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr. From 2000 to 2002, she worked for the City and County of San Francisco, serving as the Planning Commissioner and Small Business Commissioner.

She continues her community work serving as President and CEO of the Filipino-American Voters Education Council in 2006, a role she continues to hold today. In this capacity, she coordinates outreach campaigns, devises fundraising programs, and manages daily operations at the organization, which seeks to inform the Filipino-American and Asian community about issues and legislation that affect their lives.

Since 2007, Myrna Lim has been serving as Producer, Host, Director, and Writer for San Francisco Public Access Television. The programs Myrna Lim helps create air on Channels 29 and 76 and include documentaries and shows such as A Day in the Neighborhood, which discusses political and social issues facing California and the United States as a whole.
