Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Insertions, Dr. Nancy Lebowitz
January, 2011
Bio-identical hormone pellet insertions serve as the most beneficial method of testosterone replacement. Testosterone has a short half-life, so creams cause a spike and a sudden drop a few hours later in serum levels. Pellets release steady amounts of testosterone, closely replicating the human body’s own mechanisms. Pellets also eliminate fluctuations in hormone delivery sometimes caused by other methods. Pellets dispense beneficial levels of hormones for four to six months. Medical professionals who possess expertise in the technique, including Dr. Nancy Lebowitz of New York City, insert the pellet in the patient’s hip under local anesthesia. Dosage is based on blood levels, weight, age, and patient’s symptoms. Patients receiving testosterone via pellet insertion report considerable respite from headaches caused by menopause or migraines. In addition, patients who undergo testosterone therapy with pellet insertions see an improvement in lean muscle mass and a decrease in midsection fat due to decreased insulin resistance, increase in bone density, increase in energy, libido, and improvement in mood.
The option of using testosterone hormone pellet insertions for hormone replacement therapy provides multiple health benefits, often with little or no side effects. Testosterone is often the neglected and yet important hormone that needs to be replaced in the menopause. For more information about bio-identical hormone pellet insertions, visit Nancylebowitz.com.
