Writer Nancy Tengler is one of the financial management sector’s most distinguished alumni. Beginning as a Senior Portfolio Manager with Merus Capital Management/The Bank of California, Nancy Tengler established herself as an expert in relative dividend yield and relative price-to-sales ratio valuation disciplines. Nancy Tengler held a number of executive roles with firms like UBS Asset Management and Global Alliance Value Investors. Over her career, Nancy Tengler’s knowledge, insight, and eloquence have made her a sought-after speaker, and she appeared regularly on CNBC’s Squawk Box and Kudlow & Cramer. Nancy Tengler also wrote a column for MSN’s Money Central and contributed to several industry publications. In 2003, Nancy Tengler segued from a position as President, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer at Fremont Investment Advisors, Inc. to pursue her interest in creative nonfiction. For the past six years, Nancy Tengler has demonstrated her gifts as a writer and is now hard at work on a memoir of her time as an investment executive as well as a book on taxation in the U.S. Nancy Tengler is also an Adjunct Professor at Diablo Valley College in San Ramon, California, where she teaches writing and composition. Nancy Tengler attended Point Loma University in San Diego, California, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While pursuing her BA, Nancy Tengler published in the American Bulletin of Psychonomic Behavior and presented research to the American Psychological Association, a rare honor for an undergraduate. Nancy Tengler also holds a Master of Fine Arts from St. Mary’s College, where she received the James Townsend Scholarship for Excellence in Creative Writing and the MFA Advisory Board Scholarship for Literary Excellence. In her spare time, Nancy Tengler enjoys hiking and horseback riding and is an avid student of history.
