A teacher has the best understanding when it comes to helping a student
learn a subject. Natalie Stiglitz started off as a social studies teacher
and understands the importance of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Her passion to invigorate students with knowledge in compulsory education
has become a lifelong passion to helping children gain the education they
need to make a difference in this world.
Currently, Dr. Stiglitz holds the position of Director Office of Civic
Education and Engagement at the College of Education and Human Development
as well as the Co-Director of the Nystrand Center of Excellence in
Education at the College of Education and Human Development, at the
University of Louisville. Stiglitz is the Principal Investor and
Co-Principle Investor for over $1.6 million in grants and responsible for
ensuring that they are used in the most effective manner.
Prior to managing these grants, Natalie Stiglitz worked as a State Social
Studies Specialist where her knowledge of the state’s social studies
program gave her the ability to make recommendations to create a basis for
standardized curriculum that brings equality to districts. Furthermore,
she worked in close conjunction with professional organizations and
universities to understand their requirements to ensure that students are
educated and potential job candidates in the future.
She gained her teaching experience working for Henry County Public Schools
as a Teacher and Assistant Principal. Dr. Natalie Stiglitz received her
PhD in Education Leadership Organizational Development from the University
of Louisville as well as a certification in Educational Administration and
Supervision. Furthermore, Stiglitz received a Masters and Bachelors in
Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky.
