Dr. Nathan Schramm is a Florida-based Nutritional Optometric Physician with an extensive nutritional background. Having previously worked as a personal trainer, Nathan Schramm, O.D., C.N.S, combines his knowledge of diet and physical health with his training in optometry. The result is a fascinating correlation between nutrition and eye health that is the basis of Dr. Schramm’s practice. An associate at Lange Eye Care and Associates, Dr. Nathan Schramm focuses on dry eyes, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Additionally, Dr. Schramm is a certified nutritional specialist (CNS) and offers nutritional blood testing to determine vitamin deficiencies—providing patients with a way to improve their eye health through alternative means. Dr. Nathan Schramm is professionally affiliated with the American College of Nutrition, the American Society for Nutrition, and the Ocular Nutrition Society.

An alumnus of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Dr. Nathan Schramm was singled out for several awards upon graduation, including the prestigious FOA Presidential Award. Dr. Nathan Schramm also possesses Bachelor degrees from Rutgers University and Nova Southeastern University.

Passionate about helping people, Dr. Nathan Schramm has volunteered his services to the Volunteers for Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). Dr. Nathan Schramm has also traveled on medical mission trips to Peru and Trinidad, where he administered treatments to the less fortunate. Additionally, Dr. Schramm has volunteered to participate in a number of free vision screenings for local communities.

Residing in Gainesville, Florida, Dr. Nathan Schramm enjoys an active, healthy lifestyle. Among his favorite activities are weightlifting, bike riding, and playing volleyball.
