Endeavor Board Member and Matrix General Partner Nick Beim has spent his career helping entrepreneurs and advising companies in the high tech industry.

Before joining Matrix Partners, Nick Beim spent several years in associate positions with major firms in investment banking and management consulting industries focused on the high tech industry.

Nick Beim’s academic career began at Phillips Andover Academy, a Massachusetts prep school founded in 1778. After graduating from Andover, Nick Beim traveled to California to attend Stanford University and then England to study at the University of Oxford as a Marshall Scholar.

Nick Beim now applies his academic and professional experience in his position with Matrix Partners, where he invests in internet and software startup companies.

Matrix Partners offers guidance and counsel for its portfolio companies. Nick Beim serves on the boards of a number of high-growth companies in Matrix’s portfolio, including the Gilt Groupe, Care.com, TheLadders.com and Conductor.

As a director on these boards, Nick Beim works to ensure healthy growth and market success from a supportive distance, allowing the companies to operate on their own terms.

Nick Beim worked extensively with the Gilt Groupe, the largest event-based ecommerce company in the United States. He invested in the company in its early days, when it had only 5 employees. He helped the company recruit many of its top executives, including its CEO, Susan Lyne, who previously ran Martha Stewart, Inc. Gilt Groupe is now one of the fastest-growing internet companies in the United States.

In addition to his duties at Matrix Partners, Nick Beim supports international entrepreneurial development as a board member of Endeavor. With the support of industry figures like Nick Beim, Endeavor brings the benefits of venture capitalism to South and Central America by empowering innovative business efforts in Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
