Graphic DesignerRedwood City, CaliforniaDesigner Nicolas Pelletier leverages an expansive imagination and a love of storytelling to create compelling, interactive environments. The creator of games compatible with mobile devices and online environments, Nicolas Pelletier employs his skills in the architecture of both characters and backgrounds. He commands expertise in a cache of programs, among them Combustion, Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe InDesign, and 3D Studio Max (now Autodesk 3ds Max). Nicolas Pelletier garnered technical prowess in his field as a student of Cegep Marie-Victorin, a Montreal, Canada, university founded in 1965. As an undergraduate of the institution, he completed a variety of courses in the areas of art, design, and illustration. In order to fuel inspiration for his professional projects, Nicolas Pelletier maintains a number of artistic interests. He began reading comic books as a child and lists The Adventures of Asterix and The Adventures of Tintin as large influences on his development as an artist. Later, in college, he expanded his view of the art world with the close study of prominent figures including Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Outside of his passion for visual artists, Nicolas Pelletier finds considerable stimulation in science fiction and fantasy literature. He favors The Lord of the Rings series by J. R. R. Tolkien, The Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis, and The Golden Compass series by Phillip Pullman. He also admires the works of writers Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, and Stephen Baxter. At present, Nicolas Pelletier channels his wide vision into the architecture of a portfolio of new works. One day, he hopes to bring his talents to children through video games or comic books. In his free time, he enjoys participating in kung fu classes, attending flamenco dance shows with his wife, and listening to classic rock. Nicolas Pelletier's Schools
