Nicole Thurston moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 2005 and works for the American Heart Association as the Communications Director. Nicole specializes in media relations and marketing. Before moving to “The Magic City”, she worked as an award winning News Producer for the #1 CBS affiliate in the nation. Later, she moved into Marketing & Promotions Producing. In 2000, she discovered a love for non-profits and has been there ever since.

Nicole is very involved with her community: Birmingham Women’s Exchange, Greater Birmingham Humane Society, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and she even finds time to take Flamenco dance classes at Dance Essentials.

Her interests include: reading, traveling, writing, photography and coffee.
