Currently a Partner at Shajani LLP, Nizam Shajani brings years of experience to assisting his clients in reaching their financial goals. As a Chartered Accountant, Nizam Shajani works with individuals and businesses to compile, review and audit financial statements; consultant on corporate processes and structures; and provide corporate and personal tax services. In addition to his work with Shajani LLP, he has lent his accounting expertise to the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce as a member of the taxation and finance committee. Additionally, he shares his knowledge with future Chartered Accountants as an Online Instructor with the Chartered Accountant School of Business.

Prior to accepting his current position, Nizam Shajani spent more than two years as an Accountant with Mackay LLP, a Vancouver-based firm that offers services ranging from assurance to consultation. He also held a role with Deloitte & Touche LLP, a global tax firm specializing in a broad range of tax-related services. His experience with both mid-size and multinational firms allowed him to fine-tune his understanding of business processes, consultations, and other accounting services.

Nizam Shajani possesses a Bachelor of Business Administration and is writing a dissertation for his Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Nizam continues to build upon his professional development through courses in corporate finance, assurance and governance.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Nizam Shajani is an active member of his community and supports a number of organizations, including the Webber Academy’s Performing Arts Centre, Aga Khan Education Services, and the Institute of Ismaili Studies. A dedicated family man, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and many friends.
