For the past 30 years, Obi Enemchukwu has served his community as a Pharmacist and Health Care Business Administrator. As a pharmacist, Obi Enemchukwu works with other health care professionals to improve patients’ lives by monitoring drug therapy plans and ensuring that problems do not arise from drug combinations. To provide necessary services for his patients, Obi Enemchukwu consults with managed care organizations (MCOs), health maintenance organizations (HMOs), preferred provider organizations (PPOs), and state and federal health care programs. Making every effort to ease the financial burden on his clients, Obi Enemchukwu institutes programs like drug formulary management to reduce the cost of prescriptions. Education is another area in which Obi Enemchukwu invests his time and effort. The community pharmacist must be able to provide information to patients and the general public about different medications and advise patients about their options. Obi Enemchukwu does his part in sharing this information through his local newspaper series called Making Your Medication Work for You. Obi Enemchukwu supplements his duties as a Pharmacist with those of a Health Care Business Administrator. In this capacity, his responsibilities include personnel administration, public relations, and financial management. Obi Enemchukwu has expertly met the requirements of both his positions for the past two years, assisting patients as a Pharmacist and Health Care Consultant in Orlando, Florida.
