After earning a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University, McGee proceeded to the University of Arizona, obtaining a Master’s in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics, minoring in Aerospace Engineering. In 1997, President Bill Clinton appointed Dr. Oliver McGee to the role of U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Technology Policy, where he served under Rodney E. Slater at the Department of Transportation. To gain a more specialized knowledge in business, Dr. Oliver McGee attended The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and achieved a Certificate of Professional Development (CPD) in Business Administration and Finance. He subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In 1997, Dr. Oliver McGee founded the Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm Partnership Possibilities for America. Among the group’s many services, it provides research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in such areas as microeconomic marketing, portfolio investments, risk and decision analysis, large-scale building systems design and analysis, and advanced computer modeling of complex multi-physics phenomena. Partnership Possibilities for America boasts clients in both the private sector and Fortune 500, including The White House, U.S. Department of Transportation, NASA, and the U.S. Air Force, as well as academic institutions such as Ohio State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
