About: Olivia Kayler
Educated at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Olivia Kayler earned a B.A. in Communication and also immersed herself in the study of broadcast journalism, organizational psychology and mass media marketing. Upon completion of her academic work, Olivia Kayler chose a career path to optimize her educational background, accepting a position as a Sales Representative for the Quaker Oats Company. In this role, Olivia Kayler employed her communication skills to promote the company’s products, helming presentations geared toward revenue generation for local and chain grocery outlets. Also generating sales projections, Olivia Kayler expertly managed business development funds, ensuring that the Quaker Oats Company utilized marketing dollars wisely. Following a four-year tenure as a lead Sales Representative for a regional sports franchise, Olivia Kayler became the Asst. GM-Director of Marketing for a minor league professional soccer team. Leveraging her sports marketing and sales experience, Olivia increased advertising revenue 30% by enhancing the value of sponsorship opportunities and renegotiating contractual relationships to encourage increased competition in the market. The team was awarded a national “Excellence in Marketing” recognition from the United Soccer League as the best of 25 division-3 teams nationally. Olivia Kayler also created an internship program resulting in decreased operating costs, improved customer service and enhanced game experience. Prepared to take on new challenges, Olivia Kayler joined the community relations team at Wachovia, a predecessor bank of Wells Fargo. Responsible for identifying risks and opportunities, Olivia Kayler managed Wachovia’s communication strategies for highly regarded organizations such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and Teach for America, among others. In the recent past, Olivia Kayler took on numerous additional responsibilities at Wachovia, including the oversight of expense controls for diversity, engagement, and inclusion strategies. Moreover, Olivia Kayler served as a point person for problem resolution, skillfully facilitating communication between Wachovia’s enterprise sector and the company’s executive leadership. Currently, Olivia Kayler is an active participant of the American Marketing Association, Women in Sports and Events, and Sports Management Worldwide. Outside of her professional life, Olivia Kayler enjoys watching sports and the performing arts, seeking new travel adventures and volunteering for non-profits. Previously a board member for the United Way Big Buddy program, Olivia Kayler applied her marketing knowledge to raise awareness and funding. Most recently, Olivia Kayler is responsible for creating a food donation program benefiting at-risk populations. Strongly committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Olivia Kayler is a proponent of nutritional healing and strength training.
