Mr. Woodard is currently a Principal at Venture Philanthropy Partners, where he supports the Partners in the investment selection process, portfolio planning and strategy development.

At the Advisory Board Company, Mr. Woodard advised companies on cost saving initiatives and best practice implementation. Previously, as Associate Director of Marketing & New Business Development, Mr. Woodard closed $1.5m in new business, and conducted 200 speaking engagements with senior healthcare & higher education executives on the most pressing business issues facing their enterprise.

Prior to that, Mr. Woodard was a registered federal lobbyist with The Whitaker Group, a strategic consulting firm committed to creating sustainable prosperity in Africa. He was responsible for building and strengthening strategic relationships between his clients and Congress, the White House and federal agencies. He worked to secure increased trade and investment opportunities through coalition building, the appropriations process and U.S. foreign aid programs.

Mr. Woodard served as a Deputy Regional Field Director for the Obama for America presidential campaign. He played an integral role in Chester County, PA voting Democratic for the first time since 1964, securing 54% of the vote.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Woodard worked in numerous roles in the political and higher education arenas. He worked for Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), and as an outreach coordinator for the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at The George Washington University.

Mr. Woodard is a member of the Board of Trustees of The George Washington University, serving on Governance, Compensation and Nominations, Diversity and Academic Affairs Committees. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Black Philanthropic Alliance, where he serves on the Executive Committee, the Board of Governors of the Alumni Association of Girard College, and the Board of the College Democrats Alumni Association of America.
