A native of Brazil, Osni Arruda founded Flytec Computers S.A. in South America more than 15 years ago and established its U.S. office in 2007. Located in Doral, Florida, Flytec Computers, Inc., serves as a distributor of fixed wireless services. Founder and president Osni Arruda focuses his energy on pricing strategies aimed at increasing global market penetration. Though it has been operating only four years, Flytec Computers, Inc. now has about 20 employees and yearly revenues approaching $3.3 million.

The parent company, Flytec Computers S.A., has its headquarters in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, just across the river from Foz do Iguaçu, the Brazilian city where Osni Arruda received his law school training. Mr. Arruda worked for Banco Besc and Bamerindus while attending college at Western Santa Catarina University in Joaçaba. He founded a leisure tourism company, Indexto Cambio e Turismo, after earning his business administration degree, and served as its general manager for six years. Osni Arruda launched Flytec Computers S.A. in 1996. He also pursued post-graduate studies in applied law at the Escola de Magistratura do Paranà in Curitiba in 2008, and courses in criminal law and tax law at the Universidad Ahanguera Uniderp over the following two years. Mr. Arruda has also taken courses on analyzing stock market investments and formation of derivatives.

Osni Arruda aggressively cultivates partnerships between Flytec Computers and the world’s largest manufacturers of wireless equipment. For example, Flytec sells about 20 percent of the equipment produced by Ubiquiti Networks, a wireless communications company that builds equipment for local area networks in underserved markets. Osni Arruda’s company also imports LAN modules from Lite-On Technology Corp. in Hong Kong.
