About Pasadena Recovery CenterAn in-demand rehabilitation treatment facility, the Pasadena Recovery Center has received significant media attention for its success and has been featured on a VH1 reality television series. Beginning in 2008, the Pasadena Recovery Center became the site of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which is now in its third season. The first season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew featured nine celebrities coping with substance abuse addictions. Through eight one-hour episodes set at the Pasadena Recovery Center, the series aimed to provide an educational perspective on the long and rigorous nature of addiction treatment. Largely successful without compromising treatment goals, the joint venture between the Pasadena Recovery Center and VH1 was described in the media as compelling and thoughtful. Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew was not the Pasadena Recovery Center’s first collaboration with television. In 2006, the Pasadena Recovery Center also participated in the Women’s Entertainment Network show The Secret Lives of Women, providing a real-world perspective on the rising incidents of methamphetamine addiction among women. For all patients, famous or not, the Pasadena Recovery Center offers a unique program that emphasizes complete treatment of patients’ issues, addiction related and otherwise. The Pasadena Recovery Center’s method begins with a step-based program and is supplemented by complementary treatments to help build the patients’ self-worth, develop job skills, and foster healthy family relationships. Additional activities include fitness, yoga, acupuncture, and meditation programs. Upon discharge, patients of the Pasadena Recovery Center have access to ongoing support services.
