Paten is a NYC-based actor from Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in theatre and French. She trained with Che Walker at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts Summer Shakespeare Program and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. While at Washington and Lee, Paten participated in a Shepherd Poverty Alliance Internship which brought her to NYC to work at CampInteractive (an after-school program for at-risk youth that combines technology education with wilderness adventure) located in the Bronx, as well as The Stella Adler Studio of Acting Outreach Division (which provides free actor-training to inner city kids who might not otherwise be able to afford it). Paten has worked as an assistant tour guide with Baylor Brit Lit Travel Company in London to help inspire high school students to study Shakespeare and British History. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing, and running.
