In each of his many positions, Mr. Rackoff has made meaningful contributions that have produced profitable and long-lasting results. Paul Rackoff’s professional career began when he joined Autocon, Inc., in 1985. Hired as a Management Trainee, he rose through the ranks in positions including Supervisor, Project Manager, and General Manager to attain the title of Vice President of Operations in 1989. As Vice President, Mr. Rackoff managed several facilities in Ohio, Georgia, and Michigan, and served clients including General Motors Company, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Bowater (now AbitibiBowater Inc.), and Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. During his tenure at the firm, Paul Rackoff rapidly turned around two operations showing extended losses, raising profits by 9 percent at one facility and 14 percent at the other within a few months. In 1993, Paul Rackoff accepted the position of Operations Manager for DSC Logistics, Inc., where he worked with clients such as Dow Brands, Coca-Cola Foods, Lipton, and Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Mr. Rackoff oversaw all maintenance, warehousing, and labor relations activities and conducted rate review and business management for various accounts. He achieved a major accomplishment at DSC Logistics by developing a program that identified staffing needs for peak shipping requirements; the program became a nationwide model for the company. Paul Rackoff’s next professional endeavor took him to DSW Inc., previously known as the Shonac Corporation, where he served as Vice President and General Manager from 1994 until 1998. In that role, he oversaw day-to-day operations of 42 DSW Shoe Warehouse retail locations and 95 leased shoe departments across the country. He took responsibility for numerous departments in the company, including loss prevention, logistics, accounting, IT, store supplies, and human resources. His Lean Process initiatives shortened the retail order fulfillment cycle from 2 weeks to 24 hours while boosting overall distribution center productivity by 20 percent. Paul Rackoff graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
