About Paul Rosenberg Plastic Surgeon

From his office in Fort Lee, New Jersey, Dr. Paul Rosenberg offers his medically trained expertise in surgery to individuals in need of cosmetic procedures for medical or aesthetic reasons. Dr. Rosenberg illustrates his plastic surgery abilities with a variety of before and after pictures for prospective patients to view. Dr. Rosenberg has a photo library of nasal surgery procedures available on his website. Nasal surgery, which is also referred to as rhinoplasty or nose surgery, is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed today. It can be performed as a reconstructive procedure to correct a birth defect or an injury, such as a broken nose, and can boost self-confidence.

Patients who undergo plastic surgery can look forward to gaining self-confidence and a sense of well-being from looking and feeling their best. For those who wish to enhance their appearance, today’s cosmetic surgical procedures offer patients the opportunity to reshape physical features and improve their self-esteem.

Dr. Paul Rosenberg became Board Certified in Plastic Surgery in 1997 through The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. Dr. Rosenberg interned and trained in general surgery at the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. He then spent a year conducting surgical research, during which time he pioneered a new model for craniosynostosis, an extremely rare craniofacial disorder. Subsequently, he spent two years as a Resident at New York City’s NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. His plastic surgery residency was augmented by his work as Chief Resident at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Paul Rosenberg followed his residencies with intensive study of reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries of the face, nose, eyes, and forehead. To facilitate this study, he traveled to Mexico City, where he trained with Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio.

Dr. Paul Rosenberg has spent a considerable amount of time lecturing, publishing papers in primary research and medical journals, contributing as an author to several medical textbooks, and teaching residents and medical students.

  • Facial Rejuvenation through Rhytidectomy

    By Dr. Paul Rosenberg

Palisade Plastic Surgery Associates, PC, based in Fort Lee, New Jersey, offers a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgical procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgeries, liposuction, tummy tucks, and breast augmentations. The rhytidectomy, or facelift, remains a sensible procedure for those who want to reduce the wrinkles and sagging that gradually occur as part of the natural aging process. While facelifts cannot erase the effects of aging, they can rejuvenate the face by bringing the skin back to its original tautness.

Basic facelifts involve small incisions, hidden inside the hairline at the temple and running behind the earlobe to the scalp. After surgeons separate the loose skin from the tissue underneath, they pull it up and back. They then remove any excess skin and tighten the muscles and connective tissues. In some cases, surgeons also remove fat deposits from areas such as the underside of the chin and neck. Finally, they sew up the skin at the incision line with tiny sutures. Patients sometimes elect to combine facelifts with complementary procedures such as a blepharoplasty or rhinoplasty.

Patients who choose a rhytidectomy benefit from decades of advancements that have made it one of the safest surgical procedures available. Following a facelift, patients rarely require pain medication, and while some numbness or tightness is common, it is temporary. Patients are advised to put on sunscreen outdoors and avoid direct sun exposure for several weeks after surgery. Individuals experience minimal visible scarring from facelifts, since most of the incision lines are hidden within the hairline and in the natural creases formed by the ears. The most common candidates for facelift procedures are patients in their 40s to 60s who retain excellent skin elasticity. Still, individuals much older have undergone successful facelift operations.

Possessing certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc., Dr. Paul Rosenberg serves as Medical Director at Palisade Plastic Surgery Associates, P.C. Before-and-after photos of Dr. Rosenberg’s facelifts are accessible online at web.me.com/prosenberg1/Facelift/Patient_1.html
