A graduate of Amherst College, Dr. Paul Spector holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Paul Spector enrolled at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. From there, Dr. Paul Spector completed a transitional internship with medical and surgical components at Overlook Hospital and underwent training in ophthalmology at New York University. Dr. Paul Spector returned to Columbia for his psychiatry residency and also studied at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. For much of his career, Dr. Paul Spector focused his private practice on the psychological effects of disease.
