A 1974 graduate of Bundeshandelsakademie in Graz, Austria, Peter Brandstaetter spent his scholastic years immersed in the study of international business, trade, and economics. Following graduation, he embarked on a unique career path as an international hotelier and in the financial services industry. Peter Brandstaetter enriched his professional education through coursework at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.

After joining Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. in 1999, Peter Brandstaetter became a franchise owner for this Fortune 500 company in 2000 and established Peter J. Brandstaetter & Associates, an Ameriprise Platinum Financial Services practice in Chicago, Illinois. Together with his highly dedicated team, Peter Brandstaetter provides ongoing fee-based financial planning services to goal-oriented people who want a mapped-out financial future and who value the experience of dedicated financial professionals.

Aside from his responsibilities at Peter J. Brandstaetter & Associates, Peter Brandstaetter pursues a wide range of philanthropic endeavors in Chicago and throughout the United States. Over the years, Peter Brandstaetter has donated to the Civic Opera House, the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
