Planning for (and paying for) the future

35, Nashville, Tennessee

Peter Westerholm studied public administration at Lipscomb University before completing a Masters of Public Policy from Pepperdine University, where he specialized in international relations and economics. This experience afforded him the opportunity to study the socio-economic impact of HIV/AIDS in Nairobi, Kenya, and work with affected parties to forge solutions.

Upon returning to Nashville, he began working with budget and strategic planning activities for the state finance department. Pete is involved in a variety of organizations around the city, among them the Metro Board of Equalization, Tennessee Equality Project, American Society for Public Administration, Street Theatre Company, Nashville Symphony, Walk/Bike Nashville, Nashville Emerging Leaders, and the Adult Literacy Council. In his spare time, Pete enjoys studying urban design, sustainable growth practices, local politics, hanging out in East Nashville, and going to the Belcourt.
