Joel
Petersen serves as the owner of Petersen Painting, Inc. based in Lehi,
Utah. Petersen Painting formed in July 1996 and currently works with 5
of the top 15 builders in the state. Since its inception, Petersen
Painting has painted 20,000 homes in all price ranges. As President and
owner of Petersen Painting, Joel Petersen seeks to uphold the company’s
mission of offering superior customer service, quality, honesty, and
integrity. He supervises the main office and acts as a new accounts
manager for both business-to-consumer endeavors and business-to-business
partnerships. Joel Petersen also develops new products and procedures
and negotiates all product and service pricing. In 2005, Petersen
Painting was honored as Subcontractor of the Year by Ivory Homes, the
number-one ranked homebuilder in Utah since 1988. In 1996, the
well-respected builder KB Home, formerly Kaufman and Broad Home
Corporation, named Petersen Painting as its Subcontractor of the
Quarter. Since its founding 54 years ago, KB Home has built more than a
half-million homes. Petersen Painting possesses both commercial and
residential services divisions. Each division focuses on new
construction, exterior and interior painting, glazing and faux
finishing, stain and lacquer projects, epoxy flooring, and other
construction-related activities. Besides its corporate headquarters in
Utah, Petersen Painting also operates a satellite office in Middleton,
Idaho. Prior to founding Petersen Painting, Joel Petersen worked at
Jesperson Painting in Pleasant Grove, Utah, for four years. Petersen
remained on the fast track at Jesperson Painting. He was promoted to the
role of foreman more quickly than anyone else in the history of the
company. In addition to his other duties, Joel Petersen’s other major
responsibilities focus on quality control. When not running his
business, Joel Petersen devotes his time and money to several worthy
charitable causes including World Vision, Inc., which provides
assistance to almost 100 million people in numerous countries. Petersen
also supports ChildFund, formerly known as Christian Children's Fund;
Disabled American Veterans (DAV); and the Lutheran Church Extension Fund
(LCEF). He also contributes to disaster relief in Haiti, a Hurricane
Katrina rebuilding project, and the K-LOVE Christian Radio Network.
Additionally, Petersen serves as the local Committee Chairman for the
Boy Scouts of America. An active sportsman, Joel Petersen enjoys such
recreational activities as dirt bike riding, snowmobiling, boating,
fishing, camping, and exploring ghost towns.
