Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco

 

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco feature the De Young in Golden Gate Park and the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park. Together they comprise one of the largest museums in the United States. The De Young features American paintings; decorative arts and crafts; arts from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas; and a strong collection of textiles. The Legion of Honor, built to commemorate Californian soldiers of WWI, it occupies a breathtaking setting overlooking the Pacific and San Francisco. It includes European art, ancient art, and a fine collection of works on paper.
