Harmon Center for the Arts

The Harman Center for the Arts opened in October, 2007 as a 21st-century performing arts center and expanded stage for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Washington DC’s performing arts community. The Center consists of the new 774-seat Sidney Harman Hall (Sixth and F Streets NW) and the 451-seat Lansburgh Theatre (Seventh and E Streets NW). These two superb mid-sized theatres have transformed the Shakespeare Theatre Company into a national destination theatre while providing ideal venues for many of Washington’s distinguished performing arts companies. It is located in the burgeoning Penn Quarter arts and entertainment district.
