The Woolly Mammoth Theatre

The Wooly Mammoth Theatre in Washington DC was called by the New York Times as “Washington’s Most Daring Theater Company”. The theater is a leader in the development of new plays and has received 24 Helen Hayes Awards. The “Outside Woolly” program has been honored with the Washington Post Award for Outstanding Community Service, and Woolly Mammoth has twice received the Mayor’s Arts Award for Excellence. Its new theater home is at the basement level and is “dramatic, but not cuddly”, according to a recent review from the Washington Post.
