Warner Theater

The Warner Theater, originally named the Earle Theatre, was built in 1924 for vaudeville and silent movies. After falling into disrepair it was revived as a live concert venue. After renovations it reopened in 1992, adding theatrical and dance productions to the musical performances on its calendar. In 2007 it was the venue for the first annual Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The recipient of the first Gershwin Prize was Paul Simon.
