Improving the world through humor34, New York, New YorkPorter Mason has been publishing cartoons and performing improve since a very young age. His editorial cartoons and comic strips have appeared in the Virginian Pilot and the Duke University Chronicle. His writing has appeared in TimeOut New York, PipeUp, and FHM magazines. He was a founding member of Duke University Improv, and went on to teach beginner and advanced level improv classes at the DSI Theater in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as well as workshops at Duke University. His current cartoon is “Bassist Wanted”, which is a comic strip about music, man. The strip follows the music industry from the eyes of a local band, a famous band, two music fans and two music executives. The strip has been running in weekly papers since the Fall of 2004.
