In 2007, Priya Ramnath became a Staff Anesthesiologist at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas. Ms. Ramnath holds board certification in anesthesiology in India and the United States, and has earned licenses to practice medicine in Florida and Texas. Priya Ramnath is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Priya Ramnath earned her BMBS at Grant Medical College in Byculla, India, remaining at the institution to complete a year-long internship. From 1991 to 1994, she was a resident at T.N. Medical College in Mumbai. She subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom and performed duties as Senior Resident Anesthesiologist at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. Priya Ramnath completed Steps 1-3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) from 1996 to 1998. The following year, she began her medical internship and anesthesiology residency at the University of South Florida. Ms. Ramnath completed her advanced training in Ohio as a Fellow in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

In the past, Priya Ramnath served as Staff Anesthesiologist with a number of medical institutions in McAllen, Texas, including the Rio Grande Surgery Center, the McAllen Medical Center, and the McAllen Heart Hospital. She has also worked at the Sri Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital and the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences in Puttaparthi, India.
