OBJECTIVE Seeking assignments in Construction Project Management functions with an organization of high repute. My natural ability to adapt in to a team, flair to lead and technical expertise in architecture, strongly supported by qualitative international work experience has influenced my desire to work in the construction industry.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Oct’08 – Jan ’09 : Quantity Surveyor & Project Architect, Broadstone Mills, Manchester, U.K.

Site Survey, Existing Building’s Drawings, Proposal Drawings Approval Drawings were my key responsibilities. Developing, managing and monitoring the IFC drawings in compliance with Client’s requirements and. and ensuring appropriate drawings are used in construction. Handling design planning; Project Planning for the Execution of the project and coordinating with client and City Council vendors for obtaining specifications for the project deliverables to ensure smooth execution of projects were a part of my role during employment.

April’07 – Aug’07 : Site In charge, Bharathi Builders & Promoters, Chennai, India.

The firm is engaged in building residences, apartments and offices. My responsibilities were managing overall project operations for executing construction projects and also within time parameters. Monitoring projects with respect to Cost, Resource Deployment, Time Over-runs, Quality Compliance and Manpower Planning to ensure timely execution of projects were my employment roles.

May’05 – Aug’05 : Trainee Architect: Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.

The Transportation Research and Injury Prevention program (TRIPP), WHO Collaboration Centre deals with Indian Transportation System and Urban Design Projects. I was given the opportunity for Designing and detailing the HCBS corridor project. I was a part of the design team which handled Lucknow and New Delhi International Airport Projects. My individual work includes the design of Parking Slots and Signage System for airports.

EDUCATION

2007 – 2008 : MSc. Construction Project Management, University of Manchester.
Course modules include Commercial Contract Management, Project Finance Project Planning & Control and Risk Management. Dissertation on Planning & Scheduling for construction projects accounting contingencies for the risks and other critical aspects for effective management of cost and time parameters.

2002 – 2007 : Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). Sathyabama University, Chennai, India. Results: First Class with an overall aggregate of 68%
Course modules: Architectural Design, Building Construction Techniques, Project Management, Professional practice and Building materials.

2000 – 2002 : Higher Secondary (12th Grade) – Loyola Higher Secondary School, India.
Results: First Class with an overall aggregate of 77%.

Held the post of Events Team Leader in hosting the National Symposium by the department of Architecture during the final year of my Under Graduation in Sathyabama University.
I have held responsibilities as Group leader during various case studies and have been the team head for various cultural events throughout the five years of my Architecture Graduation.
