With a rich and long history of philanthropy, successful entrepreneur Randy Stelk shares his generosity with those who truly need it. Stelk’s impressive list of charitable organizations includes schools, churches, and international humanitarian efforts. While a student at Georgia Southern University, Randy Stelk held three jobs in order to pay for his education. Through hard work and dedication, Randy Stelk earned a Bachelor of Science degree and embarked upon a rewarding business career. Stelk recognized the need to ensure the economic stability of college students and sought to provide that security through any means available. In April 2002, Stelk established the Randy E. Stelk University Honors Program for Student Athletes at Georgia Southern University in cooperation with the Georgia Southern University Foundation. Randy Stelk’s scholarship provides substantial financial support to university athletes who maintain a strong commitment to academics and sports and serves as a testament to Stelk’s beliefs in diligence and self-determination. Recipients of the Randy E. Stelk scholarship are star baseball and soccer players, take classes in Georgia Southern’s Honors program, and have interests ranging from accounting to quantum physics. Past honorees of Randy Stelk’s scholarship program have sent numerous letters thanking Stelk for his support. One student, an exemplary Stelk scholar, wrote, “Between baseball and academics, my schedule is pretty full, so I am able to enjoy all of the surprises and anxious moments of a busy lifestyle…I would like to thank you for your generous contribution, and I can assure you that I will cherish it and put it to good use.” Also noteworthy are Randy Stelk’s donations to the Sisters of St. Joseph convent and Family Harvest Ministries. Through Stelk’s regular financial contributions, the Sisters of St. Joseph help the victims of the Sri Lankan civil war by providing food and shelter to orphaned children.
