Rashana Chunn serves as the Director of Education at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where she manages the training of its nursing staff. At St. Vincent’s Hospital, Rashana Chunn also develops and implements innovative patient care services and performs administrative duties, including preparing budgets and writing departmental reports. Rashana Chunn possesses more than 15 years of experience in nursing, staff development, and teaching. Actively involved in her professional community, Rashana Chunn is a member of the American Nurses Association’s Alabama Chapter and sits on the association’s Continuing Education Committee. In addition to her role at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, Rashana Chunn acts as Director of Education at Saint Anthony Healthcare in Montgomery, heading its Diabetes and Nutrition Center and developing a Literature and Medicine program. Studying nursing at the University of Auburn under the Spirit of Auburn and McWane Foundation Scholarships, Rashana Chunn graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. Rashana Chunn continued her education at the University of Alabama, earning a Master of Education. A dedicated philanthropist, Rashana Chunn supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Kidney Fund, and the American Red Cross, among other charities. In her local community, Rashana Chunn volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club of America and Meals on Wheels Association of America. Rashana Chunn is also heavily involved with community health initiatives and is the former President of the Healthy Communities Partnership. She is also a member of Medical Outreach Ministries and the American Medical Women’s Association. Recreationally, Rashana Chunn enjoys spending time outdoors and is a sports enthusiast. Rashana Chunn spends as much time as possible with her family. An avid reader, Rashana Chunn is especially fond of the works of Leo Tolstoy, Gustave Flaubert, Vladimir Nabokov, and Mark Twain. Rashana Chunn celebrates her love of literature through participation in the Women’s National Book Association.
