From Mexican soap operas to star-studded Hollywood productions, Raul Julia-Levy has utilized a mixture of raw talent and industry savvy to earn international television and film notoriety. In 1991, Raul Julia-Levy jumpstarted his global cinematic career as Vito Franco in the Italian film, Fuga da Kayenta. One year later, Julia-Levy played Dante in the UK production, Amami. Raul Julia-Levy would later move his career to Mexico, where he played integral roles in a variety of television shows, slowly building his industry credentials until he was prepared to chase his cinematic dreams in Hollywood. Raul Julia-Levy made an early mark in America by playing Jose in the made-for-television science fiction movie Epoch. Julia-Levy quickly adapted to the unforgiving Hollywood landscape and promptly expanded his skills to other areas of the film industry by successfully campaigning through a stint of associate producer roles that included The Champagne Gang, Vengeance, and Double Take. While rising through Hollywood ranks, Julia-Levy has never dismissed the passion for philanthropy he developed early in his career. Raul Julia-Levy remains an active member of the Earth Island Institute, and he helped establish the National Foundation for the Education of the Indigenous, which began working with the United Nations in 2007 to supply scholarships to indigenous Mexican cultural groups. Raul Julia-Levy’s brother, Jose Martin Levy, is the co-founder of the foundation. Raul Julia-Levy earned a degree in Economics from the Universidad Anáhuac, where he studied from 1989 to 1993. Julia-Levy’s latest projects include a producing and acting role in The Shaw, which explores underground society low-riders in California.
