As Head Pharmacist at ACE Pharmacy in Riverdale, New York, Rena Sobol held several responsibilities for the store and its customers.
A graduate of the New York University College of Arts and Science with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Rena Sobol continued her education by enrolling at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University. After completing her studies, Rena Sobol accepted a position with Shalom Pharmacy in Kew Gardens Hills before joining Riverdale Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and ACE Pharmacy as Head Pharmacist. At ACE Pharmacy, she provided health advice to customers, filled prescriptions, suggested treatments for various ailments, and opened and closed the store. Rena Sobol has remained active in charity work throughout much of her life. As a regular contributor to A Package from Home, she sends clothing to soldiers in Israel, a country she has traveled to many times. Other nations she has visited include England and France. Particularly fond of Paris, Rena Sobol considers it her favorite city for its cobblestone streets and museums featuring works by renowned artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Pablo Picasso. During the period when her children attended Westchester Day School, Rena Sobol participated in fundraising events as a member of the Parent Teacher Association. Sobol also served as Sisterhood President for Young Israel of New Rochelle. An active skier since high school, she jogs to stay physically fit.
