In 1995, Dr. Richard Petrilli opened a private dentistry practice in the Rock Springs neighborhood of Northwest Orlando, Florida. Since then, Dr. Richard Petrilli and his staff have strived to provide superior dental care to their patients. Dr. Petrilli understands that visiting the dentist can be an unpleasant experience, especially in an environment where patients are not treated as individuals. To ensure that his patients have the most pleasant experience possible, Dr. Richard Petrilli welcomes them with a Tuscan-themed office, complete with relaxing scented candles, neck pillows during procedures, and satellite televisions in every treatment room.

Dr. Richard Petrilli takes pride in the environment he creates for his patients. When he started practicing after dental school, he worked for a group practice in Orange City, Florida. At that office, Dr. Petrilli became deft at bridge-and crown-work but felt discouraged by the volume of patients he treated. Because he saw so many patients every day, he felt he was not able to give them the individual attention they deserved. That early position helped him mold his current practice into one that focuses on providing individualized care to his patients.

Part of Dr. Richard Petrilli’s approach to dentistry involves making patients active participants in their dental care. He and his staff work to assist patients in understanding their diagnoses and choose the treatment that best fits into their long-term goals for dental health. Dr. Richard Petrilli and his staff stay abreast of the latest trends and discoveries in dental treatment by attending continuing education classes.

Dr. Richard Petrilli graduated from Rollins College with a B.S. in Anthropology in 1988. He earned a Health Sciences Achievement Award and an Archibald Granville Bush Award in the Science Division. Upon graduating, he enrolled in the University of Florida School of Dentistry and earned his D.M.D. in 1992. Dr. Petrilli lives in Apopka, Florida, and gives back to his community by volunteering at the Orange County Dental Research Clinic and providing free services to indigent and homeless patients during Dentistry from the Heart’s annual day of free dentistry.
