Rick Domeier built his acting career upon live theater experience, transitioning seamlessly into the television world with appearances on shows like Santa Barbara, St. Elsewhere and Skin Deep. Domeier also played parts in popular films like Evil Dead II, Teen Wolf and Die Hard 2. Rick Domeier studied acting at South Coast Repertory, a California based theater school that earned a Tony Award for Distinguished Achievement by a Regional Theatre in 1988, as well as the Margo Jones Award in 2008 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Theatre LA in 1995. Domeier’s alma mater formed in 1964 out of a small group of theatre students headed by San Francisco State graduates David Emmes and Martin Benson. Rick Domeier’s success with South Coast Repertory was only a sliver of his successful theatre career. Domeier joined both the Genesis Theater Company and Will and Company, where he held prominent rolls in plays like Picnic and Macbeth. Domeier earned most of his academic theater background at St. Cloud State University, which is a member of the National Association of Schools of Theatre. St. Cloud provided Domeier with the chance to partake in live theater performances and study the history and theory behind his craft. Throughout his career, Rick Domeier has maintained an active role in the entertainment community, serving in the Screen Actors Guild for a decade, as well as the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists. The Screen Actors Guild boasts over 100,000 film and TV performers across the world and helps ensure that working conditions for the industry remain equal and fair. The Guild is a strong entertainment force that helps prevent Domeier and other actors from suffering corporate abuse or mistreatment. Rick Domeier enjoys reading and exercising in his off time. Domeier’s QVC blog, “Rick’s Fitness Journey” outlines the Domeier fitness philosophy and experiences related to staying healthy.
