Pastor Robb Thompson has been dedicated to teaching and spreading the Word of God for nearly 30 years. Thompson is a doctor of Christian theology, holding a degree from Life Christian University in Lutz, Florida. He is also the founder of Family Harvest Church in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Robb Thompson began teaching bible study to a small group of 23 people in 1981, using a room above a bank. As more people joined the bible study week after week, the group needed more room, and eventually held its meetings in a restaurant in Tinley Park before moving to a larger meeting room in Orland Park, and later a warehouse in Crestwood. After the first year, Thompson had brought more than 100 people together, and by 1983, they had incorporated under the name The House of Glory. Under the leadership of Robb Thompson, The House of Glory built its first church, on Wolf Road in Orland Park. By 1985, new followers continued to join the church, yet again creating a need for more space. Having out grown the original meeting place, the church members raised funds to build a larger church. The House of Glory changed its name to Midwest Christian Center and in 1990 relocated for the final time to Tinley Park. Midwest Christian Center became Family Harvest Church in 1994. Thompson continues to serve as Senior Pastor, working alongside his wife and a strong ministry team.

As people continued to assemble to hear the inspiring words of Robb Thompson, and the meeting places grew larger, and the Midwest Christian Center became Family Harvest Church, one thing remained constant: Thompson’s dedication to encouraging faith in the Word of God. From its humble beginnings, Family Harvest Church has reached out to many people across generations with the guidance of Robb Thompson, the dedication of the congregation, and their faith in God.
