Robert Madden, DDS, has long enhanced the dental health of his community through his practice in Littleton, Colorado. His practice, Southwest Family Dentistry, provides a full range of modern dental services, including crowns, bridges, and implants.

A well-respected dentist, Dr. Robert Madden practiced as a partner and as an associate before settling into private practice. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry; he also holds an MBA from the University of Colorado. He has several publications to his credit, and he served as a contributing author for the textbook Dental Practice Transition: A Practical Guide to Management. In addition, he co-authored the article “Prerequisites in Behavioral Science and Business” for the Journal of Dental Education. Dr. Robert Madden’s article on mid-level providers will appear soon in Dental Hypotheses.

Honors given to Dr. Robert Madden include an annual award for practice management from the UNMC College of Dentistry. He was recently appointed to the Dean’s Advisory Board at that school, and he also now sits on the UNMC Campaign Committee for Excellence in Dental Education. Most notably, Dr. Robert Madden is scheduled to become a Fellow in the American College of Dentists in October 2011. At the national level, he has served the American Dental Association (ADA) as a Success speaker. Dr. Madden also served the ADA’s Dental Schools Programs Project Advisory Group and was a consultant to the Council on Private Practice.

Locally, Dr. Robert Madden has consulted with several senior healthcare facilities and was a dental consultant to the Lakewood Head Start program. He has generously contributed to charitable organizations such as the Denver Rescue Mission, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. He also donates to the University of Nebraska Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Trout Unlimited, and Ducks Unlimited. In 2000, he set up an endowment fund for the UNMC College of Dentistry. Additionally, Robert Madden, DDS, holds membership in the UNMC Dean’s Club and Chancellor’s Club and is a life member of the Nebraska Alumni Association.
