Board Certified Plastic SurgeonCharlotte, North CarolinaThe first to introduce Juvéderm and Dysport to the Charlotte, North Carolina, area and a pioneer in fat grafting during facial surgery, Robin Hennessy, MD, directed Hennessy Aesthetic Surgery Center in Charlotte until 2003. Over the course of her career as a surgeon, Dr. Hennessy garnered numerous awards. At present, Robin Hennessy, MD, focuses her efforts on providing high-quality facial rejuvenation and other skincare services. After a thorough evaluation, she customizes a treatment program for each patient and personally administers it. Robin Hennessy, MD, also offers a prescription designed to address issues associated with mature or problem skin. At the State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz, Robin Hennessy, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Fine Arts. As a Doctor of Medicine, she maintains a deep interest in art and photography. As an undergraduate, she earned honorable mention in a national photography competition and produced commissioned artworks. With the luxury of more free time, she has rediscovered these talents and recently began painting and sculpting as well. Robin Hennessy, MD, also enjoys the peace of gardening and quiet meditative pleasure of tending to her koi pond. Robin Hennessy, MD, undertook an internship and full general surgery residency training at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. After relocating to the University of Virginia Hospital, she fulfilled a fellowship and residency in reconstructive craniofacial surgery, microsurgery, plastic and aesthetic surgery, as well as hand surgery. In both of her residency programs, she achieved the rank of Chief Resident. She is a life member of both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a retired member of the American College of Surgeons.
