After studying economics and advanced mathematics from Amherst College, Robin Rodriguez went on to contribute to and create several organizations within the investment banking and trading fields. His thesis at Amherst College was entitled, “The Random Walk Theory of Commodity Market Prices.” Robin Rodriguez continued his studies at New York University where he studied finance.

Robin Rodriguez has served a member of the International Monetary Market of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the International Commodity Exchange Ltd. (Bermuda), and the New York Futures Exchange. His work with these institutions was featured in articles written by the nation’s leading newspapers, including The Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times.

Early in his career, Robin Rodriguez worked as the New York/Chicago Silver Arbitrage Trader for the Mocatta Metals Corporation. In this position, he wrote the Mocatta Metals Bullion Report and performed interest arbitrage in metal switches. Later he shifted to Manfra, Tordella & Brookes, Inc., where he was responsible for their markets in foreign currency. Subsequently, he changed to another brokerage firm, Vilas & Hickey. There, Robin Rodriguez oversaw the development of the firm’s London trading and its managed account program in the commodity and foreign exchange markets.

Robin Rodriguez became a Managing Partner at FSI Group, LLC, an organization that deals with government securities. He helped the company flourish during more than two decades of work in this position.

Robin Rodriguez also participated in companies that specialize in asset-based lending. Since 1999, he has held the role of Managing Partner of Cordell Funding, LLP, and the founded Anglo-American Financial, LLC, which is the successor to Anglo-American Financial.

In 2004 and 2005 respectively, Robin Rodriguez created Stonegate Bank and the India Deep Value Fund. He operated as the Chairman of the Board of Stonegate Bank, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The India Deep Value Fund, along with India Investment Advisors, LLC, invests in commercial companies in India. Robin Rodriguez still plays an active role with this company today.
