Rockstar
Academy

Canadian Reality TV Show

Filmed in Vancouver with a finale episode in Los Angeles, reality television show Rockstar Academy follows 12 young hopefuls through their training to become rock stars. Rockstar Academy combines the atmosphere and structures of American Idol, The Apprentice, and Jersey Shore to create a gripping, dynamic television experience. The winner in the finale episode will receive a record deal. Judged by a panel of three celebrity judges, Rockstar Academy brings a fresh new take to the world of reality television music competitions.

The first of the three judges, Elise Estrada, comes from a background of television vocal competitions. In 2006, she was a finalist in the Philippine television show Pinoy Pop Superstar. She then won the 2007 Beat Music Awards and earned a record and management contract with RockSTAR Music Corporation. Her breakthrough single, “Insatiable,” was released in May 2007 and rapidly found its spot at the top of the Canadian Top 40 Charts. Ms. Estrada has performed around the world and her music has been featured in a number of television series. Recently, she participated in a Sony Pictures film with established stars David Hasselhoff and Lucas Grabeel. Her experience as a young, rising pop star and actress makes her the perfect judge to empathize with the contestants of Rockstar Academy as they work to break into the music and entertainment business.

The judging panel of Rockstar Academy is rounded out with two experienced producers and music executives: Adam H. and George Caceres. With more than 25 years of experience in the music, film, and entertainment industries, George Caceres works diligently to share what he has learned with others. He established the George Caceres Foundation to help young Americans meet the teen Hollywood stars they admire. The final Rockstar Academy judge, Adam H. began his career as a recording artist but soon advanced through the industry and became a writer, producer, and executive on a wide range of popular music projects, working for artists like Ashley Tisdale, Ray J, Ne-Yo, and Def Leppard. He has also written songs recorded by Mega-Hit International Recording artists. Adam H. has won a number of awards for his work, and his experience on all fronts of the music business allows him to accurately assess the talents of the 12 students competing on Rockstar Academy.
