A respected strategist for Fortune 100 companies and technology leaders, Rod Place currently heads his technology consulting firm RiteWire, Inc.

The former President of R-Tek Communications Inc. / Comm360 Systems Integrators, Rod Place oversaw the design, implementation, and programming for high-end clients with homes worth up to $50 million. Mr. Place trained company employees on the installation of lighting controls, and he also oversaw distributed audio, home theater, and streaming video. His creation of the production home, custom home, and ProAV divisions led to an increase in revenue from $100,000 to $10 million in gross sales. After driving sales for two years, Rod Place assisted in meeting business plan targets by focusing on sales team training. His continued dedication resulted in sales accounts that included Fortune 500 companies such as PeopleSoft, Inc. (purchased by Oracle Corporation), Cisco Systems, Inc., and Ascend Micro.

Before joining R-Tek Communications, Rod Place oversaw sales and service for the Low Voltage Services Business Unit for the United States region of 180 Connect, Inc. / DIRECTV, Inc. / MasTec, Inc. Working on residential and commercial projects, Rod Place assisted in the company’s sales of system controls, lighting controls, and security surveillance systems, as well as home theater and distributed audio.

Rod Place also increased company sales in 2006 by more than $2.5 million in two quarters, and he created an organizational structure in multiple markets for scalable growth. Responsible for all of 180 Connect’s low voltage products, Mr. Place worked toward the continued installation of triple play services and other technology for homes and businesses. During his time at 180 Connect, he also oversaw the expansion of residential production homes to include custom and commercial projects.
