2001, Rainey founded what is known as the first Hip-Hop fashion news website.

2002, Rainey left Fort Valley State University to further his business interests in New York City after recieving a few beneficial offers.

Since, the site has affiliated with many major magazines to provide printed content and advertisement clientele. The sites urb1.com and sojones.com were split in 2004 into individual entities, and are used by multiple sites and stores for marketing and informative purposes.

In 2006, Rainey was listed Creative Director for Nike sneaker culture project KicksAndChicks.com. An Air Jordan and Nike sneaker news/info site, the project combines gorgeous chicks with hard to find Nike Air Force 1, Air Jordan, Nike Dunk, and Air Yeezy shoes.

Man Alive, DrJays, Coogi, Fubu, Crown Holder, Rocawear, eFashion, and Finish Line are just a few of the major companies that have tapped Rainey as a resource for marketing on-line.
