new to bigsightRoland Bubik began his career in the consulting industry with Mitchell Madison Group, a McKinsey/AT Kearney spin-off in Frankfurt. In 2000, he joined Booz & Co. in Frankfurt, Germany. He served as a member of Booz & Co.’s management team until 2007, when he joined Oliver Wyman, the global consulting firm, in November. Roland Bubik’s expertise and advice has supported his clients in developing the capability to revamp their process, improving efficiency and effectiveness in Information Technology (IT) and Operations. Projects he led have brought forth healthy expansions of his clients’ financial service businesses. Roland Bubik has also contributed to various publications on the financial services industry, published in different sources, including titles such as Globalization of Financial Services, Value-Based IT Management, Complexity Management, IT for Risk Management, and Industrialization of Financial Services. Alongside his professional work, Roland Bubik’s social values also come into play through his involvement with the community. Roland Bubik shaped the “Potenzial Frankfurt Rhein Main – Talent Inside” initiative, awarding a price to local companies for outstanding people management practices. Before his studies, he volunteered at Sue Ryder Home in London, an elderly care organization offering support to individuals and families dealing with severe illnesses and medical conditions. Bubik also volunteered with SHAD (Support and Housing Assistance for people with Disabilities) in London. Roland Bubik resides in Germany with his wife and two children. He earned his Business Administration and History & Political Science degrees from the University of Mannheim in Germany. Bubik’s diploma thesis “History of Marketing Theory” received the Dr. Carl Haas and Dr. Carl Clemm Foundation of Mannheim University award as the top thesis in its topic. Bubik enjoys studying the history of religions and remaining active by cycling, swimming, or doing yoga.
