About Ronald PiekarzAn expert in the architectural and construction planning industry, Ronald Piekarz holds certifications and licensures in three states. Since 1980, Ronald Piekarz has actively involved himself in site planning, structural and interior design, and multi-family residential design. Ronald Piekarz currently owns Piekarz Associates, Professional Corporation (P.C.), a full-service architectural firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. While enrolled at the University of Minnesota, where he obtained a Bachelor of Architecture, Ronald Piekarz joined Frederick Phillips, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. While there, Piekarz focused on high-end residential architecture and aided in the company earning several distinguished awards. Ronald Piekarz later participated in the design and construction of over 1,200 housing units with Lisec & Biederman, Ltd., gaining six years of architectural experience with high-rise apartments, loft developments, condominium conversions, and adaptive reuse developments. In 1987, Ronald Piekarz established R. Piekarz and Company, an antecedent firm to his current business, Piekarz Associates, P.C. Mr. Piekarz now serves as the company’s principal, handling aspects of all project phases. As the manager of design, client interactions, and engineering consultant coordination, Ronald Piekarz and Piekarz Associates, P.C. specialize in several types of architectural developments, including new multi-family residential buildings, multi-family rehabilitation and adaptive reuse, office buildings, retail stores, private clubs, hotels, industrial buildings, broadcasting studios, and single-family residences. Among his dozens of architectural contributions, Mr. Piekarz has handled several projects with construction values well over $1 million. In addition to his academic career in the Twin Cities, Ronald Piekarz attended Arizona State University School of Architecture and received a Certificate of Study from Tianjin University, modern China’s first institution of higher education. During his schooling, Ronald Piekarz focused on multi-family-residential and urban-architectural creative problem solving. Additionally, he affiliated with Alpha Lambda Delta and Alpha Rho Chi fraternities. Chicago resident Ronald Piekarz remains a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds certification with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Philanthropically, Mr. Piekarz contributes to the Boys Town of Chicago, Faith Community Church, and Jesse Jackson’s People United to Serve Humanity (Operation PUSH), an organization striving to improve the economic status of Chicago’s African American community.
